"We plan to open a memorial of friendship of Cossacks and Azerbaijanis in Azerbaijan, which is our home", said the head of Cossacks clannishness of Azerbaijan Viktor Mereshkin. He said the memorial will be impressive and there will be a symbolic eight angled star and a large alley will pass near it. According to him, the memorial opening will be attended by visitors from Russia and Ukraine.
"This will be not only ordinary visitors but also governors of all 11 Cossacks armed forces of Russia, as well as senior representatives of Ukrainian forces", said he. |

Social Insurance Bank of Netherlands sends a delegation to Azerbaijan |

Mr. Errol Frank Stoové, the chairperson and Chief Executive Officer of Social Insurance Bank of Netherlands, is leading a delegation to Baku on April 14.
The Public Affairs Officer of Azerbaijan Social Protection Fund, said the objective of the visit is to open a platform for learning and exchanging expertise in social insurance. The Dutch delegation will be hosted by Salim Muslimov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Social Protection Fund, and visit Narimanov District Branch of the Fund on April 15. The delegation is scheduled to visit Absheron, Siyazan, Devechi and Guba Branches on April 16. Meetings are also planned to take place at the Cabinet and the president’s office. The trip will be wrapped up on April 17. |

Group of volunteers of former USSR special forces takes part in attacks against Khojaly |

It was revealed during the inspections that a group of 150 volunteers of the former USSR special forces took part in attacks against Hojaly, along with 366th motorized infantry.
The due announcement was made by Faik Ismaylov, chairman of the Public Association on organization of protection of historical and cultural monuments of Azerbaijan.
He said the attack against the Azerbaijani city of Khojaly for occupation of the only airport in Nagorno Karabakh had been planned since 1989. The officers of Armenian armed forces Bagdasar Gevorkyan, Bano Siraderyan and Samwell Sharikyan held talks with officer of the 12th infantry of the Soviet army Vladimir Voronkov, who took part in the hostilities in Afghanistan in December of 1989.
The purpose of discussions was the creation of a group of volunteers from among special forces to attack Hojaly. Voronov arranged a batallion of 150 people in the first quarter of 1990.
Ivan Gusakov, deputy president of the International Armenian-Kazak association became the head of the batallion and Alik Petrosyan and Felix Geokhlyan his assistants. The commanders of the battalion beca,e Gusakov, Sumbat Akopyan and Karen Gevorkyan. The tactics and methods of actions were chosen by Vladimir Vardanov and Vazgen Sarkissyan.
It should be reminded that on the night of February 26 of 1992 Armenian aggressors captured Azerbaijan city of Khojaly. Innocent people including more than 1500 civilians were brutally murdered during the attack. They were tormented, scalped and subjected to other tortures. dozens of families were killed completely, dozens of children lost their both parents, hondreds of children lost their one parent, more than 500 people were wounded (of them 140 children), more than 1500 were taken hostages and 300 people were missing.
A damage in the amount of 5,000,000,000 rubles (as of April 1, 1992) was caused to the state and the population.
