International tourism conference "Azerbaijan in each season" to be held in Baku |

Tourism Institute of Azerbaijan and its international partner Krem University of Applied Sciences of Austria will hold a conference "Azerbaijan in each season" in Baku. The due information was provided by spokesman for Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism Intiqam Humbatov. He noted that the arrangement, which is to be held on May 6, will be carried out under support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The main purpose of the conference is to study the tourism potential of Azerbaijan in each of four seasons of the year and prospects of tourism sphere development. The arrangement will promote creation of mutual ties, conduction of exchange of views between people, widely using tourism methodologies and technologies. The conference will be attended by specialists from Azerbaijan, Austria, Germany, Turkey, Japan and Russia. |

Azerbaijan to build a $2 billion sports town in Baku |

Azersun Holding Group of Companies is gearing up for construction of a new sports town (area) in Baku. The company said the sports town will be established in Bina Settlement of Baku. “Preliminarily planning is under way now. Construction work will cover 300 hectares. The sports town will open in three years. The project is estimated to cost $2 billion that will be provided by Azersun Holding,” the company said.The area will have golf fields, tennis courts, football field (Karabakh Football Club’ training area), gym and other sports grounds. In May Azersun Holding will hold a next round of negotiations with foreign contractors that will carry out construction and installation work. |

Swiss President to visit Azerbaijan |

President of Switzerland Paskal Kouchepin will pay a three day visit to Azerbaijan on May 10. The due announcement was made by the Azerbaijani ambassador to Switzerland Elchin Amirbekov. The visit is held by invitation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The visit envisions comprehensive discussion of the current state and prospects of development of Azerbaijani-Swiss cooperation in various spheres of mutual concern. The said visit will become the first visit of the Swiss President to Azerbaijan. |

Book by Austrian historical scientist "Armenian estromania", ruining myth of "Armenian genocide" |

The book "Armenian estromania" by Eric Feigl, famous Austrian historical scientist, one of few European researches of the so-called "Armenian genocide", was published in Poland.
The due announcement was made by a source from the Azerbaijani embassy to Poland.
As is reported the book is published in Polish and translated by the officials of the Azerbaijani embassy to Poland.
"The rich illustrated scientific work of the Austrian scientist destroys the myth of "Armenian genocide", creates exact and scientifically checked idea of the origins and existing forces of Armenian terror, reveals most of its bloody pages, speaks of the groundlessness and falseness of historical, territorial, cultural and other claims of Armenia against its neighbors-Turkey and Azerbaijan", the source said.
The book is distributed among the representative of the political and scientific circles of Poland. |
