Iran’s “Sahar” TV Channel is illegally telecasted in Ali bayramli, Salyan, Neftchala, Sabirabad and other regions of Azerbaijan.



APA local bureau reports that anti-turk campaign is held in “Compass” program of the channel telecasted in Azerbaijani language. Azerbaijani viewers join the program by means of SMS or phone calls. The Ministry of Communication and information Technologies did not exclude the illegal telecasting of Iran’s “Sahar” TV Channel in the territory of Azerbaijan. This problem will be eliminated after the National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan announces tenders on this channel.

USA First ceremony of “Azerbaijan-Georgetown” Annual Academic Conference has held at Georgetown University today. APA US Bureau reports that high-ranking officials of both countries attended the conference titled “US-Azerbaijan relations: energy and security in complicated region”.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United States Yashar aliyev, head of State Oil Fund Shahmar Movsumov, Head of Azerbaijan’s Representation in NATO Kamil Khasiyev and Head of Planning and Strategic Analysis Department of the Foreign Ministry Tofig Musayev delivered speeches at the event. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Bryza, famous writer and Pulitzer Prize winner Daniel Ergin and representative of National War College James McDougal also partook at the conference. A photo exhibition on Azerbaijan has also been organized at Georgetown University today. The exhibition will last for 4 days.
