Several Armenian sources admitted population of Lachin region with Kurds, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov told journalists when asked if Azerbaijani occupied lands are populated by terrorists of PKK Kurdish party. e said special UN mission had admitted placement of 8,000 people on the occupied territories.

 Azimov claims that settling of such a number of people and solution to their social and economic problems is impossible without direct involvement of authorities. Questioned whether Azerbaijan could carry out anti-terrorism operation on the occupied territories together with its allies, Azimov did not rule out such a possibility.
