Azerbaijani citizens raise nearly 570 legal actions against Armenia at the European Court of Human Rights
A large part of the legal actions against Armenia at the European Court of Human Rights were raised by Azerbaijan, said the ECHR chairman Jean Paul Costa at the meeting with the chairman of the Armenian Cassation Court Arman Mkrtumyan in Strasbourg, APA reports quoting News Armenia agency.
Costa said nearly 800 legal actions were raised against Armenia at ECHR and 570 of them were raised by the Azerbaijani citizens. The chairman said that there were nearly 95 thousand actions under jurisdiction of the court and they need to carry out the reforms in the court system to make its work more effective because of large number of actions. He said 55 % of the actions fell to share of four countries: Russia, Turkey, Romania and Ukraine.
